Raquel (Keigh) Alcantara dela Cruz joined the chapter of Alpha Delta, San Sebastian College in Manila on August 1985, with the batch name of Two’s Company. The charter chapter was recognized on February 7, 1988 by the APO International (Philippines), Inc. National Board of Trustees. Keigh was elected as the Prime Lady Chancellor from 1987 through 1988, and under her leadership, Alpha Delta Sorority was given the Gawad Bayanihan Award by APO International (Philippines), Inc. in 1987 for exemplary services to the community. She served as Treasurer of the Alpha Delta Alumni Association from 2010 through 2015, followed by being elected as Treasurer of the Greater Washington Alpha Phi Omega (GWAPO) from 2016 through 2018 and as Vice President in 2021.

 

As the Vice President of GWAPO in 2021, Keigh carried the banner of GWAPO and was one of the voting delegates at the APO ACNA 15th Biennial Convention in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  With her strong voice, together with Sisters Meryl Roxanne D-Townsend, Maye Nunag and Felma Dacut, and Brothers Reuben Roque, Aldin Dela Cruz, Leslie Arthur Dela Cruz, and Macy Conrad Dela Cruz, GWAPO won the bid to be the host of the APO ACNA 16th Biennial Convention. She serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee for the APO ACNA 16th Biennial Convention to be held in Seattle, Washington on September 1 – 3, 2023.

 

Keigh finished her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree at San Sebastian College in 1989, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Jose Rizal University in 2007.  She is currently with the Northwest Kidney Centers in Seattle as a Clinical Unit Coordinator.  Keigh is married to Aldin Dela Cruz, Beta Chi 1983-B, and blessed with three sons, two are APO members, Leslie Arthur Dela Cruz, Beta Sigma 2005-D, Macy Conrad Dela Cruz, Beta Chi 2008, and Axl Dela Cruz, foremost, with a grandson, Mateo, who just turned one year old.
