Aldin dela Cruz joined Alpha Phi Omega on August 21,1983 at Beta Chi Chapter, Don Bosco Technical College. Of the original six pledgees that got initiated, he was one of the two who survived. Their batch name is “Loco Citato” with Ricardo Mancia as his batchmate. He served as the Grand Chancellor in 1988 and is currently a member of the Beta Chi Alumni Association.
While serving as the Grand Chancellor of Beta Chi in 1988, Aldin actively did both school and community services together with APO Chapters Alpha Delta and Alpha Phi. He met Keigh Alcantara, his wife of 34 years at Don Bosco’s Foundation Day, and both were blessed with 3 sons, Leslie Arthur, Macy Conrad, and Axl. Leslie Arthur and Macy Conrad both joined Alpha Phi Omega.
Aldin joined Alpha Phi Omega Riyadh Alumni Association in 1990 and participated in various services at the Philippine Embassy. He immigrated to the United States in 2003 and found fellowship with the Greater Washington Alpha Phi Omega (GWAPO). It is with GWAPO that he truly enjoys the company of the fraternity brothers and sisters. He serves actively without question or rancor and held several positions through the years. He was elected as Vice President in 2010, Secretary in 2011, President in 2019 and in 2020, and Treasurer in 2022 and in 2023. Aldin continuously to be active in GWAPO on top of his full-time job.
